I think these ministries are worth billions in cash and assets. They all preach God's wealth for us. Don't get me wrong, I love them all, but wouldn't it be cool if one Sunday, instead of the 20,000 person congregation tithing, the ministry handed out a check to each member in the amount of $10,000? That would be practiceing what they preach, yea?

Joyce Meyer & Joel Osteen shouldn't even be preaching because:

Joyce Meyer is a woman....

and Joel Osteen preaches a fluffy, feel-good gospel

But I like the part about cutting checks to the members......good idea

Preachers who preach "God's wealth for us" as in God wants all of his people to have a bunch of money are false teachers who will only part with their cash if the Spirit of conviction falls upon them and they repent and truly get saved.

Matthew 6:24 "No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.

2 Timothy 4:3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.

2 Peter 2:1 But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3 And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

1 Timothy 6:6 Now there is great gain in godliness with contentment, 7 for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. 8 But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. 9 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.

Well the scriptures say, "the LOVE of money is the root of evil"...not money per se, but the love of it. Too much money blinds people into thinking God is 'blessing' them, too little money blinds people into thinking God doesn't care. Both are false human thinking and characterize God as some kind of genie who grants wishes.

Why does it matter what these people are worth? They work for a living and have earned their pay checks.

Money is not to be your god nor is lust or anger over money.

By the way, Paul Shepherd sells books as well.

And almost all of them live EXTREMELY wealthy lifestyles, and hang out with other famous people.

They delegate normal pastoral duties (like visiting sick in the hospital) to groups while they fly around the country.

I don't know much about most of these people, but I do know that know where in the Bible does God promise us a rose garden of a life. But if I knew when it was going to happen, then I would attend that day. God Bless.
