Nobody wants to be friends-or more than friends- with their teacher's daughter...];
This is my first year in highschool too!

And I can't switch schools beacuse I live in Japan and there is only one English speaking school in my area- and its the school I'm in now.

A lot is going to depend on the relationship between you and your dad at school. You two might want to sit down and work out some guidelines now.
The biggest turnoff to being friends with a teacher's kid is when that kid thinks it makes them a big person in school. In other words you don't want to try to take advantage and get away with things other kids can't. You also don't want to have your dad treat you with favoritism whether you ask for it or not.
On the flip side, it's not entirely fair if your dad demands more of you then he would of other students.
It's a fine line to have to draw by both of you but if you talk things out before problems come up you stand a good chance of making it.

Oh c'mon, it's not that big of a deal, the key is not to be negative about it, like pouting in class etc. Make it fun, call him Mr. Whatever when you talk to him in class or at school, that will be fun for you two and the others in class. Believe me, the others don't think of it as a big deal at all.

im so sorry for you...but its not that bad i mean if you dont act awkward and dont get embarrassed at the sight of your dad its going to be just fine...initially people might tease you but when you show complete indifference to their taunts they'll stop teasing you and everything will be ok...also dont worry about your dad interfering in your life at school...he wont have the time to...i hear schools keep teachers pretty busy...

Be yourself. Don't think you can get away with more then you would any other teacher. At least you can ask him for help with homework in his class. And know many of kids have gone through the same thing.

awww, just hold your head high and be proud that your dad is the teacher...just sit down with him, and ask him not to do anything embarrassing because this is an important time in your life...but say it nicely.

Lemony, don't be an idiot.
Just remember your real friends don't care that your dad teaches geo and they'll pound anyone who teases you about it :)
