Anything to be concerned about if I change the 215/55/70's with a Z rating (on a G35) to H rated tires of the same size? I drive the G35 normally-- never speed, never exceeds speeds of 70-75mph, corner carefully and slowly, stop in a safe manner, etc. Essentially, I treat the car as if it was an old Volvo, but it comes with Z rated tires which are designed for real speed and power.

as you have said basically, Z rated tires are high peformance tires, designed for high speeds and hard cornering. if you are driving a "daily driver", the only thing Z rated tires have over H rated, is they are usually directional and handle better at high speeds on wet surfaces. i have worked many seasons in a tire shop, and at normal speeds, an H rated tire is just as good as any other. just don't go over 70m.p.h. in the ran, and you should be fine.

No. I just asked this question a couple of months ago. I switched from V rated to H rated tires on my Honda Accord. The new tires are great with no noticeable difference. They were cheaper and have a longer treadlife warranty too.

Just don't exceed the speed and load ratings of the new tires.
