Sleep is usually considered the body's first defense against depression. The environment at home could be depressing you to the point that your mind wants to escape it, so you sleep. I would suggest that you see a therapist to help you figure out what is going on at home that has got you so depressed and start working through it.
Good luck.

this doesnt have a simple answer...or maybe it does.It depends alot on how long its been going on, how you feel when awake, if you wake feeling clear or tired, if you dream and what of, do you have any medical conditions, medication, alcohol,or recreational substance. even you bed. sometimes the enviroment...not just the people effect it.
think about any use of any stimulants, even coffee tea cola or "people"stimulation affects it.If you hungry,
how often do you sleep at each place?change over can change sleep patterns.you may want to write down things and thoughts at each place and see how they differ. being around your boyfriend may affect your hormones so you sleep less, and are unconciously desiring to be awake together. (lucky you) and the reverse at home,(and desiring to be with him, so being unconcious you may or may not be aware of it.) plus catching up on sleep,if it doesnt affect your awake hours, negativly, including your physical health, then dont stress it...if you find it getting to you in some way, then talk to a health proffesional you can trust,(or a peer)
keep enjoying time at your mans home and your families, and if you can, why not try and see how it goes when he stays at your families.
you really may just be recharging you batteries girl!!! sleep is one of the bodies biggist helpers, and also informants. so thats why if you start to feel unwell, get help, otherwise, enjoy!!! I could not live without my sleep-ins regularly, even if l just hang out in my PJ's somedays....its a sweet treat.

There are some really good answers here...but the one thing you need to learn to do is be happy with yourself first. Find peace and comfort within yourself first. You say you feel really good when you are at your boyfriends....welll you need to find a way to feel really good when you are by yourself....
then you will be an even better partner when the time comes. If you have to have someone else to make you feel complete or good about yourself you are in trouble. So find a way to like yourself first, enjoy your own space and deal with all the inner feelings first....then find a partner.

first of all... get up..get some fresh air...do yoga and pranayam and some other exercises. second of all....physical beauty isnt everything. u must b happy for all the other things u have...food, shelter, clothes, family, friends and everything that used 2 make u happy. be beautiful from inside...have good thoughts, appreciate others for whatever they r, be satisfied the way u r, serve people....these r methods 2 enhance ur inner beauty. dont forget to care for urself. remember, u r the best gift u ever had and u will ever have. respect urself as u r, turn ur negetive qualities to positive qualities. and of course, stop comparing urself 2 others. just think that they r not gud enough 2 b compared 2 u. treat urself as the greatest celebrity but b humble 2 others. remember 2 keep ur self esteem high. go ahead...do everything u enjoy, listen 2 music, go shopping, and eat good food for sure, b happy mentally and automatically ur physical beauty improves. and dont forget 2 add a beautiful smile on ur face-the most important ingredient in ur life. all the very best for your life. believe that ur the best

It could be that you are resting up for more time to spend where you are happy, with your boyfriend. Maybe it could be that you are outgrowing your family's opinion of you and that's why you sleep so much. I have had the same problem. It might be time to save up and leave the nest.

This could be a sign that you want to spend more time with your boyfriend. Maybe you and your boyfriend should consider living together or getting married in the future. This will depend on your age of course.

My guess is that there is something going on at home that you don't want to confront. You seem depressed. It could be your family life causing this. See your doctor honey! I had depression for a long time when I was a teenager.

That's a common side effect of depression. The trouble is sleeping too much makes you sluggish, which makes you more depressed, so you sleep more....
Look into affirmations and autosuggestion, it can work fast to help change your mood.

Sleeping too much can be a symptom of depression.
If you're worried about it, then you should seek the opinion of a doctor or a psychologist.

it could be that you are depressed, if you think so, then that might be the problem. i think i am/ was depressed, but i never got a diagnosis. (screw doctors) anyway, if you think you are, then that might be the case. because you like your boyfriend and he makes you happy, you want to wake up to be with him, but at your family's house, its just nothing to wake up for.
