Alright, so my dad and I wanna restore a '67 mustang coupe together and we found this one near us that is basically just a rusty shell. There is only cancer on one quarter panel and the rest is just body rust. The floor panel also needs to be replaced. Once all that is done (with some good sand blasting) I'll have basically just a '67 body in pretty good condition. Here is the link to pics...

.... He said he wants 1,000 or best offer, but I'm not sure if thats a good deal or not. Please help or tell me what '67 body like this is worth! I would have about $2,500 to put into it for the moment... and yes I know I'm gonna need a lot more money and this is gonna take awhile to restore. Thanks for the help :)

in the long run it will be worth your time and money, many hours and alot of blood sweat and tears, lol 1,000 is a good price, when you get it finished it could be worth big bucks, i would not put a big block in it .stay with a 289-351 w automatic or 4 speed, you can get a complete crate motor already in running ready condition, or build what your heart desires, a carburated engine will not require a computer, and the wiring harness that a efi will need for the fuel injection, there are all kinds of parts on ebay, good wrenching( dont listen to people telling you to not do it) do what you think first, it wants to be ford racing yellow with black racing stripes and crager mags, b4 i forget dont forget the gt 40 heads

It has no motor and tranny. That alone will easily eat your 2500. I would say if you could get him down to at least 700 then you might be doing good.
