i mean,can i really just learn french from that???????

no, but start off with a dictionary to adjust to the language, then go to classes/buy vocab. books/listen to actual french tv etc.

I don't think you can learn French just from a dictionary.

No. :) It's useful for reference and vocabulary building, but you also need to learn how the language syntax works, how to conjugate verbs, make plurals, and all the other boring stuff you had to learn for English.

No. You can learn words from a dictionary, but you also have to learn sentence structure, conjugation, and so forth. You'll need more.
