Poor kitty. hopefully he hasn't been run over by a car, eatten by some animal, poisoned, found by some stupid kids to be tortured gotten lost or any other horriable thing that will happen to a cat that is let to roam outside. I'm hoping that some nice family found him and decided to give him a nice home where he can be inside where he will be loved and be safe happy and healthy.

If he hasn't been neutered he's probably off looking for a little adventure. Even if he has he may have just gone for a wander about. Cats do that. It's a bit early to worry yet. Cats have an incredible sense of direction so they very rarely get lost. If he hasn't come back by tomorrow put notices around the neighbourhood in case he's got shut in somebody's shed or outhouse or something.

Of course there is a possibility that he might have been injured so contact your local vets in case he's been taken in somewhere. But try not to worry because it won't change anything.

Post signs EVERYWHERE-even in places you wouldn´t think your cat would go. I had a cat once that ran away, and someone found her in the next block! Since I had a sign posted, I got her back safe and sound within 2 weeks.

I used to be a police officer, and worked the 10-6 shift. After doing this, I saw when the best time to look for an animal is-between these hours. I saw so many stray dogs and cats, even though my hometown had a leash law, and if I was you, go out looking for your cat during these hours.

Good luck to you-I love my cat, and am so glad he´s an indoor cat and doesn´t roam any further then my back porch.

I can sympathize with you and understand why you're freaking out, but you should calm down, sweetie.

Something you have to know about cats is that they get into the most bizaree of places. Sometimes you see them coming out from, say, under your porch or something...yet there's seemingly no one to get under there! Fact of the matter is, cats are curious creatures and love to explore.

Make sure you have looked absolutely -everywhere!- in your house, and the areas surrounding your house. If your kitty is stuck somewhere that's close to the house, you'll heard meowing pretty shortly after he realizes he's stuck there.

Is your kitty used to being outside much? If not, he probably -won't- stray too far from home.

Hope he comes home soon. :)

Ok, FIRST, make sure he wasnt accidently let inside. Check everywhere, QUICKLY. Then, go walking down the street and make sure he hasnt been run over. Then tell somebody you live with to go door-to-door and ask if they saw anything. Get in your car and drive around looking. Check around your house to see if he is stuck somewhere, or got into a fight. If you find him hurt, immediately call a vet and take him there. Do not hesitate. Somebody may have even taken him in to feed him. You must think of the possibilities. You might want to start making flyers, just in case. Good luck, I really do hope you find him!

This happened with my dog. I was at my Dad's office, and we let my dog outside and do his business in the parking lot. He started to stray off and crossed the street and ran inside of a Circut City, and we couldnt find him. Some lady inside Circut City picked up the dog. An employee asked if that was her dog and she said YES!! She took him home and started acting like it was her dog. We drove all around looking for him. We put up flyers and she saw one and called us, and brought him over. She was really upset, and we were shocked she would claim it was her dog, and take the dog home acting like he now belonged to her. Im pretty sure he had a collar on too!! She really wanted to keep him, and I think she expected us to let her keep him, and was hoping we would..Of course, we didnt. My cat once ran away while we were gone. He followed another cat into a garage, ate the cats food, and then got stuck up in this person's attic! We put up flyers, and somebody called, saying my cat was stuck. We came over, called him name, he jumped down, and we brought him back home :)

So sorry to hear you are so distraught ! Try be positive. Don't panic. Cats have a different reason for living - eating, hunting, mating etc. I hope he comes back after a good nights frolicking! Holding thumbs for you. PLease let us all know when he returns. PS : Put a bowl of tinned fish out to lure him if he is close.

Unless you're willing to go meowing down the street, there isn't much you can do at this hour. Just wait it out a few more hours and go ask around for him then. He's probably hiding in a bush somewhere.

He may have ended up in a kindly neighbors home. If you have a picture of him make up some flyer's and post them in the area of your home. Make sure to include a description and contact information. Good luck finding your cat.
