I rubbed water on it and it went down immediately, and it is not too bad at all i can function properly. I have been running a fever off and on though could that be a side effect. Someone please help.

This could be one of a few things. First, as it went down with washing, it could have been a mild allergy. This can be caused by deoderants etc. The second possibility is that it may have been caused as a symptom arising from the fever but it's quite unlikely as washing with water wouldn't have made such a dramatic improvement. The third cause could be a medical symptom such as a boil etc. The best advice is to keep it clean for a few days, don't use any deoderants etc. and see how it goes. If it completely clears up, try using deoderants again but don't use more than one brand in any one week. If it returns, the likely cause will be the deoderant that you are currently using. However, if it gets any worse, whilst not using any deoderants etc. see your doctor and get it checked out as it could be something more serious developing.

Bad (probably not allergic) reaction to deodorant. Probably should just switch brands.
