If you are in the UK, you need to telephone your insurance company and give them your new address. Your driving license needs to be updated with the DVLA in Swansea see http://www.dvla.gov.uk for further details of what to do depending on if you have an old paper license or a new photo license. You change your address on your car registration papers by filling in the new keeper details section and returning this to the DVLA. they will then send you a new registration certificate with the correct details

your licence will need updating with your new address. You can apparently do this online although I tried it myself and it didn't work. If you can't do the change online you can order the necessary forms. (just google DVLA then click on Driver information or similar).

Your V5 will need updating with your new address. I think you just complete a part of it and send it to DVLA (the address should be on the form).

You will also need to make sure that you notify your insurer, otherwise you may find out that you are not actually insured.

With regards to insurance. You will have to tell your house insurers (buildings/ contents) and also have to tell them details of the property - they may ask for a fresh proposal form to be completed.

With regards to car insurance. You will need to tell them the new postcode and also how the car is parked at night. Take the opportunity to advise them if your expected annual mileage will change and any convictions that you may not have previously told them since last renewal date.

Please note that your insurance premiums may change (up or down) depending on your new circumstances.

Do not forget bank details - Barclays will charge you if you don't, and any other insurance policies you may have - life, accident and sickness etc.

Just notify the DMV of your new address, giving them your drivers license number and the plate, VIN, year, make and model of any cars you have. Then you will get renewal notices as you should.
