I only know some who were once teacher of a certain religion throughout a vast region of the world. Can't state as this might mean going into others faith which I really don't encourage with a normal person with his own sense of mind.

Christian gone atheist after working as an addiction counselor for the Salvation Army. The crunch came when I saw how they prey on the downtrodden, feeble minded and the weak to increase their Christian numbers.

Hi, I am very young and my mother is christian, I was till I start reading and questioning why someone would have to burn in hell just for non-belief, it does not make sense to me. My mother tells me that buddhist are satanic, and I cannot stand that. I used to think that, I am so sorry becasue I offended the buddhist when they are so kind to me.
Anyway, if I will convert I will become a buddhist, even if my mom does not like it and thinks I will be burning in hell for it.
That religion gives me the creeps now.

Okay, if a religious person claims to have been an atheist, they are either lying or they were not atheists in the typical sense. They may have never considered themselves atheists, and may have just been living what they now consider "a live without God" which technically is.. atheism. And of course, why wouldn't they use that to their advantage?

I was never an atheist, I knew from instinct that there was some type of supreme being, but after my first girlfriend died I hated God and Christ and in an empty field by myself I cursed and swore at an image of Christ on the cross. I blamed him for the death of my girlfriend. But I realized the meaning of undeserved redemption.

i wonder why people say they are atheists and convert to christianity... if i would convert to any religion, it would be anything but an abrahamic religion.

maybe they were confused and thought they were an atheist just because they dont go to church?
