I constantly dream of becoming God. But it isn't a simple wish, it is a dedicated effort. Do I just crave great power? Am I insane? Am I even alone? I'd like to think that with some great dedication, combined with future technologies, I could have the power of an almighty deity. Is it wrong to want to become God?

If the technology exists and you did not conceive of it, then you'll never become God that way. You also wouldn't want to create a means to live forever without an antidote. When the universe disperses too far out all the stars will break up and the constant temperature of the whole universe will be about absolute Zero. Lots and lots of coldness and loneliness drifting out in space forever. Doesn't sound that appealing without a community who can help create a sort of.. permanent end-of-the-universe shelter--but then you wouldn't be all-powerful, see what I'm saying? Striving to become Godlike is sort of childish, but I think that a lot of people get it from playing RPGs.
Also, imagine knowing everything, always, how boring would that be? Once you know everything, it's like.. an infinite loop of the same event every time it occurs. You will have known it was going to happen, and known that you were going to know, et infinidum--That would just be mentally infuriating. No thanks, I'll stay a barely-imperfect Ubermensch.

Yes it`s wrong to even think about wanting to be
God.
The devil himself will tell you this thought and make you believe you should be God. You need to get rid of this thought and as soon as you do. The devil will be defeated and then you need to ask God to forgive you for letting the devil make you think that you can become God. When you get this thought again tell the devil you are not pure enough to be
God and you don`t want to take over his evil title by thinking this crazy evil thought again.
God would love to help you with this evil thought only if you believe in him and not in your way of this evil thinking of being him.

Take care of you,

may,
God bless you, your family and friends...always

Is it wrong, absolutely. That is why Satan isn't going to spend eternity with God.

Besides that fact, its insane because it can never happen. One of the definitions of deity is transcendance, which is impossible for someone who was born.

It's not exactly wrong to want to be G-d - as in, be more like Him. But to claim you're G-d, well, that's not recommended.

I think what you want is ultimate power and people to surrender to you. Everyone wants that, many just don't admit.

I've heard it said women want to be men and men want to be god. Not me but so I've heard .
I want to know all Gods thoughts; all the rest are just details.

You can never have anything else but a human nature.

This is pride the root of all sins and very common too.

Well it's borderline blasphemy for one thing and that is the ONE UNFORGIVABLE SIN.

When Herod claimed to be God, God struck him dead on his throne with worms eating him from the inside out.

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU THINK.
