Just checking if I can give my Spaniel who is on 50mg of Rhimadyl per day for Discitis treatment a deworming tablet called Milbemax at the same time. Is there a known interaction?

If the main ingredient is Milbemycin oxime,then it is fine.I wonder,though,if your dog is on heartworm preventative,because that is the main ingredient in Interceptor,which is used as a heartworm preventative.My dogs take it every month and so do my cousin's dogs,and I have a dog on Derramaxx and she had one on Rimadyl.The two drugs do not interact.

your vet should be the one who answers this question and who provides the worming treatment.. and why would you worm your elderly dog?
