The USA gives more to other nations than anyone, this is done at the expense of it's own citizens who give freely. Why do so many argue that we owe them like the illegal aliens? When so much is given to their home countries in aid?

USA Citizens work rebel and vote to make our government do what it should. We give expired food to our hungry but ungrateful aliens make false statements. what is given to others is often fresher that ehat we serve our own. Also, A poor US Citizen cannot get aid when an illegal alien can.

Yes, but we're tired of having our noses rubbed in it. Compassion is a two-way street.

great question. While we don't give a very high percentage of what we have, we do give more in overall dollar amount. With the current problems we have in our own country...I think any foreign aid currently sent to anywhere South of Texas should be rerouted to a fund to build a big wall along our Southern border.

I think immigration is part of what makes this country great...but, it needs to be LEGAL immigration. I have no sympathy for illegal aliens whatsoever. They're criminals, plain and simple.

I am a Democrat, by the way

At ground zero, I believe the average hard-working, tax-paying, flag-waving, red-blooded American does care about others all over the world. However, one should look at the government of the country who is receiving the aid and donations. The hiearchy of distribution is in their hands, and the time it takes to get the goods to the needy hands, feet, backs, and mouths that so deperately need and deserve better.

I also, believe that any shift in anti-American view-points is directly associated with the misconception in third-world countries that all Americans live like kings, most of us know that that is indeed not the case. Even old GW doesn't sit on a 24K gold tiolet seat from time to time in the White House.

As for owing illegal aliens who break the law every time they enter into the U.S. by crossing the border illegally, I say get in line like the millions of foreigners who respect our U.S. immigration/Worker Green card laws, fill-out the paper-work, and be patient.

We as Americans know all about waiting for goods and services that the government promises us, it's called the Presidential Campaign and Election.

As for the countries who cry for more aid from the U.S., everybody likes something for nothing, MONEY especially!

The Republican gadget is, has been, and could be interior the palms of the corporate pocket..marvel, marvel! Fox information is a extensive business enterprise...ergo, .... you fill interior the blanks! whilst the Republicans do no longer win on the polls, they use scare approaches as we are seeing now. with a bit of luck, maximum individuals see by using their lunacy. Medicare will stay, incredibly untouched. this entire deal is a tempest in a teapot. assume the Republicans to act as obstructionists for something of Obama's term(s). The Republicans positioned us in this mess, grant NO way out, yet scream from the roof tops attempting to blame Obama for all they have performed...it is no longer working, individuals...it merely ain't working.

True.
There are not unlimited funds for our gov to give freely while we have homeless(39% are under age 18), outsourcing good jobs, wide open borders. Many of us donate what we can. Remember USA for Africa? Didn't the produce rot on the tarmac cause of infighting for who should be payed off to distribute these items?
Charity begins at home and the US can NOT continue to be the Global Butt Wiper.

I just wish our government was as free with our money to rebuilt our own bridges, roads and levees than it is with aid to foreign counties. Maybe those who are complaining about how the food, clothes, and shoes, would question why a country such as Mexico withs it's natural resources and capital would need castoffs from the USA. Maybe if they risked life and limb and demanded from Mexico their rights they would not be whining about our lack of quality in our good will offering. Just remember beggars can not be choosers

I think Americans who give money to help others are doing it with good intentions. The charities may be pocketing some of the money but the average American can't control that. That is why may people don't want to give nowdays because we have heard of the money being mispent. You must check out with carity you are giving to.Our hearts are in the right place.
