You are required, by law, to take the behind-the-wheel test. NO EXCEPTIONS. Just because you're older doesn't mean you can just skip out on taking that part of the test.

Practice driving. You can't be all that bad. And good luck on your test when you decide to take it.

If you are getting a license for the first time you have to take a road skills (driving test). It makes not difference if you are 19 or 29.
If you have moved to another state and already have a driver's license then most of the time you will not have to take a driving test or written test. However, some states do require you to take the written test and not the driving test.
