In my experiences, my parents have done a lot of crazy things, and one thing is for sure: all families are different. (That's why your friends were shocked when you told them what happened) But you do need to know that yes, talking to kids in that matter is wrong. Granted, I don't know your parent's situation or what caused them to say such things; they could be going through a hard time right now; only you can tell. But what it doesn't change is the effect those words have, and the environment they create. It sounds to me like you've grow immune to these types of scenarios. Good, never let them phase you, ok?

Cause it's true: children just can't pick their parents. But what we all can do is choose how much of an influence our parents have on us and the choices we make in our lives. For examle, you've seen what alcohol can do; therefore, consider I life without alcohol as your proactive choice. The most important thing is that whatever you don't like, whatever your parents do or say that just feels wrong or just...not right, chose not to repeat or continue. You know how the sadness feels. Don't be the cause of pain for anyone else as much as you can help it; let you be the last victim.

Always remember that no matter what kinds of cards life deals you, you have the power to choose how you play them.
Good luck.

Never heard the F word from my parents, but my dad liked to throw things and my mom was a church-lady psychopath.
Don't believe anything your folks say about you. They are depressed old drunks. Have fun with them, and just go in your room and laugh. They have issues and they're taking it out on you. Just remember how it makes you feel, then when you have kids, you can be a better parent.

I am sorry to hear about the misbehaviours of your parents. Un fortunately, alcoholc makes people doing things, talking things they might never do or say in a normal situation. It is very sad that grown up people act like that. In fact they should take help from a physiatrist and cure their alcohol problem.

properly, strikes coming from young infants that youthful merely mirror back on the mothers and dads because of the fact it shows how the mothers and dads delivered their young infants up. They %. up that profanity from different young infants in college and/or in all possibility even their very own mothers and dads and siblings. the mothers and dads have not taught their young infants to teach appreciate to adults nor have they taught them any manners or etiquette and morals. It additionally shows the path the greater youthful technology is going. As for combating a newborn from attacking you if it have been to happen, i think of you are able to restrain them by using grabbing their palms, then shouting so somebody will hear you, coming on your help. As for this u . s . a ., it is going to the canines - morals are non-existent as we communicate. the youngsters that verbally abused you is merely basically a pattern of the place this u . s . a . is going the place mothers and dads do no longer care what their young infants do or say anymore. while i became a newborn, my mothers and dads taught me morals and manners and the thank you to appreciate my elders. They punished me with a slap around the mouth if I talked back to them and/or the belt/swap if i became disobedient to them or did something very undesirable. of path, in recent times, self-discipline is at a loss for words with newborn abuse - back, it is area of what's happening in this u . s . a . - no morals - no self-discipline - do merely what the heck makes you experience sturdy, regardless no count if or no longer it is incorrect or hurts others. while young infants are 'the boss' of their mothers and dads, being allowed to wreck out with doing all varieties of wrongdoing, it is the end results of infants doing what they want to do because of the fact they be attentive to they are in a position to run to Dyfus if their mothers and dads punish them. this is why self-discipline and punishment is slowly being extinguished from society - and the regulations have a tendency to need the youngsters over the mothers and dads -go parent.
