I think not matter who you cheer for the fan should get along. I cheer for dale jr and my friend cheers for gordon and we get along . we joke around about each other choice but it is all in fun. please tell me why the fan can not get along?

You basically answered your own question. True friends get along no matter what or who they disagree on, as long as no one gets hurt. You are usually able to see their side of things. Nascar fans are not friends but we share a common interest. You should see mutual respect for each other. Don't read too much into the words people say. True fans will never say a bad thing about another driver, unless he's really a bad person (the fan, that is). That's how we "get along". It's a competition, on and off the track. For example, if you call Jeff Gordon a jerk, I will either think you are a jerk, call you a jerk or ignore you because you are a jerk. Secretly, I might agree with you if he did something to be a jerk. If you call Kurt Busch a jerk, I will know you are good people. If you like Kurt Busch then I have to assume you are part of his family or one of his friends. Friends stick together! So do teammates, current and former. See what happened to Jeff last week. Payback is a b**ch. Kurt and Matt must still be friends.
Watch out for the #24. We are going to Bristol, baby!!!!!!!!

A lot of my Nascar Buddies have already answered this question the same way i would have. Its all about the True Nascar Fans and no one else. All the others are just haters and want to cause trouble. We need to TRY to ignore them, although it is very hard at times especially when they are putting your favorite driver and the sport you love down! The True Nascar Fans get along great, we just have to ignore the others!

You really think this is only a problem in NASCAR? Do you watch any other sports or just follow racing?
It's not a fan thing.. It's an AMERICAN thing sweetie. We all take pride in the team, or person we affiliate ourselves with. I, like yourself, agree that some fans are just moronic and like to stir up trouble and we could do w/out some of that. But all in all, I enjoy the competitiveness between sports fans!

The true NASCAR fans do get along. We give light hearted ribbing to each other, and we take it right back. Unfortunately, a lot of questions posted here are by NASCAR bashers, AKA trolls. All they want to do is stir up trouble. True NASCAR fans aren't like that.

I think that most of the fans do get along we may joke around with each other, but in the end we stand up for each other.

Actually REAL racing fans all get along... Sure we poke fun of each others drivers, but its nothing real serious... I get pissed at the guys who are just douche bags about it like gfd_truck7 and that guy hemihead who seem to really hate on a driver. No matter what the topic is they find a way to trash a certain guy... But, what can you do, just ignore em cuz they are just losers anyway.

I like to say racing is like a family.Everyone has their own choice but in the end it is all for the sport.
Sure their are some that go overboard ond others that flip flop driver to driver,but the love of racing keeps us coming back
For the fans cheer for your driver and have fun but remember the sport is why we have our drivers to cheer for.

True fans all have one thing in common, a love for the sport. Sure, we may root for different drivers, but that doesn't matter. And then you have the idiots and trolls that try to ruin it for everyone with their negativity.

i get along with many nascar fans..but in here their are many trolls ...i just ignore them...i am the same as you i joke around with many of my friends.
