I have been working at this restaurant for a few years and have come to be good friends with one of my co-workers. We sometimes talk for hours on the phone and have gone out a few times "just as friends". I have always wondered if she was attracted to me because of her flertacious behavior inside and out of work. Lately, our conversations have exploring our sex life and previous relationships. The last time we spoke she invited me over to her place for some drinks and dinner. She also said that I should stay the night. Should I go for it?

In my experience, always a bad idea. Never, never, never, sleep with those you work with. You run the risk of pulling a shift with an ex!
If you are going to "go for it" anyway, ask yourself if she flirted with anybody else at work other than you, and then act accordingly.

I am guessing this restaurant is not a life long career path? If you want to have fun, go for it. But be advised it will likely get very awkward in the work environment and one of you will end up leaving. Would the sex be worth you finding another job?

If you like your job and have no plans of trying to find another then please do not hook up with fellow employees. While some office/work place romances work out just great and everyone lives happily ever after, in reality more often than not life happens and that relationship is going to fall apart. It can get hostile, and ugly. I suggest you keep your work life and your love life separated.

I personally don't think it's a good idea to mix business with pleasure. If you think it may lead to a relationship, then go for it. If it's only about sex, I don't advise it. She may regret it the next day and things would definitely be awkward. Is sex more important than friendship???

It's usually a bad idea to get involved with a coworker, but this doesn't sound like a career making job for you, so I would definitely consider it. There must be some other reason you're hesitating or you would have accepted?

Of course you should go for it but it will change the relationship forever. If you really like the relationship the way it is say something like, "why get married and spoil a perfectly good relationship." Good luck.

I'm not saying that workplace romances never work, but let's face it... if things don't work out, she pwns you in a legal sense, since you're probably breaking the rules of your company against fraternizing with an underling. Pretty dangerous, but hey... don't let your meat loaf.

it can be fraught with danger to go out with a co worker for a number of reasons so i would suggest that you cool it down just to be safe
