i had to get three shots today...and now my arms are sooo sore, why does that happen?!

depends on the type of shot -some meds are painful, the injection itself is painful, and the type of tissue where the med is injected can cause pain. move the arms more and treat the pain with ice or advil.

Well it would seem like it's the needle going into your arm, but actually it's the medicine being injected that makes your arm sore. Then again maybe part of it is the huge needle. But I have heard doctors say that it's the medicine that causes the sting. It'll feel better in a few days though.

You think that is bad, try getting one of those IV, where they feed you through a tube! I had to get 3 of those. Then you'll know what pain is! Shots aren't THAT horribly painful, but I must admit, I don't like them at all. It's not the pain that gets me, It's how far they stick it in you! All the doctors say they only stick it in you a tiny bit. If that be the case, why do they make the syringes that long in the first place?

It's like a sting from a giant insect. A foreign substance is injected under high pressure into the interstitial fluid, disrupting the cellular matrix and shocking the cells chemically.

Cause it goes in your muscle. Intramuscular.
