I have a hockey game tonight and I need to run on it. I hurt my ankle yesterday, its bruised and swollen but I need to play, any suggestions on how to make it not hurt?

Hop yourself up on something and pray for the best. You hurt the whole time and may risk ruining your ankle for life, but sometimes its worth it, ask any athlete. Please consider not playing if you can, and you should see a doctor soon after if you play or if the ankle doesn't get better.

Only pain killers can do that! But it will effect your game. If you run on that ankle you are going to have long term damage. Your coach probably wont let you play anymore.

Get some lavender and German Chamomile oils and put them on the area. Then wrap the ankle well or get a brace. Wrap or use the brace until it is %100 healed so you don't re-injure it and make it worse.

Have you tried strapping it with tape?? See a physio expert to strap properly for you, or St Johns if they come to your game...

the human body is marvellous. When you have pain it is to keep you from using that area until it heals.
