For some reason I have been very depressed lately. I have no idea what might have caused this, it just seems as though the days go by and I don't even notice... This has never happened to me before. Can anyone give me some advice as to how to snap out of this?

Sorry, but the truth is that you might need to have some counseling to get to the root of why you are depressed. It is hard to get over depression when you don't know what is causing it...and, if you don't know what it causing it, it could be a chemical imbalance in your brain. Please do yourself a favor and see a psychiatrist (if you don't have to have a referral). A situation like this is best handled sooner than later. Don't wait for it to get so bad that you are depressed enough to consider suicide.

If you have to have a referral, see or call your family doctor to get one. I hope you feel better soon!
