my computer sometimes hides all the desktop icons all i see is the background with nothing (its just like when the computer prepares to shut down)
i tried to run explorer.exe (task manager>run), the icons appear for like 2 sec and then disappear again....
!@#$%^&*&*()))(*&^^%%$$#!!

This is related to shortage of memory resources. It may be related to a limited amount of RAM and the size of applications that you currently have open.

Make sure that you do not have fragmented disk (run defrag). Check the memory usage. You might be able to add RAM or add more continuous disk space for Windows memory.

You might be running out of disk space. Sometimes, it's a good idea just to backup data and reinstall Windows and applications.

Right-click on desktop > mouse over "arrange icons by" > make sure there is check-mark beside "show desktop icons"

You have a virus. You should get some antivirus software.
