ok. I go to a college with ratio of guys to girls 8:1. I feel self conscious. I hate being hit on. and here's the thing. I'm scared of myself. of being tempted. and I will not dress plain because I'm into color right now in my life.

what do i do to remain true to myself and not be overwhelmed by hot guys? I do not want to be like the rest of my demographic.

Hi-
Can you find someone to help hold you accountable? Are you comfortable talking with your Mom about this? Or a trusted teacher? Ask them to pray for you.

It is good that you are aware of the dangers of temptation. Hang in there, find a Bible study group (with some girls if possible!). Be strong, pray that the Lord will protect you from unwanted advances from guys and from giving in to temptation.

ALSO concentrate on your school work. And don't allow yourself to be alone with a guy, make sure you stay in groups.

-hope this helps! Pray without ceasing!

Dear TashaSSS,

First i wanted to remind you that the only person that you have control of is yourself.

In other words-- you can't really do anything to make guys stop looking at you or hiting on you. Particularly when you are on a campus where the number of girls is so limited.

i think you have to know what you really want. If you really don't want all that attention -- you have to know what you're looking for in a guy. More than that- if you find that guys are hitting on you because of the way you dress or present yourself- than you have to change that. I think you can still dress in color and not draw tons of attention to yourself.

i think the key is knowing what you want so that you can avoid everything that you don't want.

Hope that helps. Kindly,

Nickster
