Take verses out of context, and you can make the Bible say anything you want. If you really want to understand Bible passages, then you must look at the whole passage. You must learn what the writer is trying to say.

GOD can't be tempted. To be tempted, GOD needed to become a man (Jesus, GOD with us). He didn't stop being GOD. He was fully GOD and fully man. This is what Christians have always taught. It has been 2000 years. Where were you?

James is saying that we typically lead ourselves into temptation, sin, and all kinds of problems. We can't then turn around and blame our problems on GOD! Ha ha. Look at all the atheist tonite trying to blame God for their problems. Ha ha. It doesn't work.

This is not to say that the Holy Spirit could not lead Jesus into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. Jesus was not tempted in the sense that He had sinful desires, lust, covetousness, etc. Jesus did not sin in this way. But Jesus does know what we go thru in this sinful world. He can have compassion for us becuz He has been there. That is all that the passage means.

Dear Punter,

Not sure what you mean by "3d" manifestations.

i can tell you that in James 1:13-1:14: It refers to how people will sometimes blame God when they are tempted when they are instead tempted by their own desires.

The Devil's tempting of Jesus in the wilderness demonstrated how we can rely upon the Holy Spirit when tempted and God's word.

Jesus' being tempted does not show that he is "evil" because we are all tempted. James' point is that when we are tempted we shouldn't blame God but look to God for help. And we know that God can help us because He experienced temptation -- so He understands us - as Hebrews says we do not have a high priest who can not sympathize.

Hope that helps. Kindly,

Nickster

Not sure exactly what your question is...but this may clear it up a little. Jesus, the Son of God was truly God. He is one of the trinity...God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit...all God, yet all separate personalities as well.

God the Father, sent God the Son, Jesus to earth...to be born as a human of a virgin mother, and with God as the Father...and he became both God and man....100% man and 100% God....and unique in that He was without sin, and could die in our place to save us from our sins.

While living in his human, and Godly form...Satan tried to tempt the human side of Him...promising things that a human might be tempted by, but Jesus resisted every tempation by claiming the word of God ....this was to show he was tempted in all things as we are, yet never sinned. This was Jesus' humanity that was tempted, but He was also God . God cannot sin, and He is not the tempter of people to sin....Satan is the tempter now, just as he was in the garden with Adam and Eve.

We all have a sinful nature and it is that nature that is tempted and can be enticed...the lust of the flesh. But if he has received Jesus as his personal Savior, Who died for his sins, then he can resist the temptation with the power that Jesus gives him....because He is now a "joint-heir" with Jesus...has access to the Father in heaven, and is adopted into His family. Satan no longer has power over him like he did before.

Yes, he can still sin....but all he has to do is confess that sin and God "is faithful and just to forgive us our sins". Satan....at the moment the ruler of this world is trying to tempt as many as he can away from Jesus.....he is out to destroy them....he knows he has already lost the final battle....and God will eventually throw him in an eternal Lake of Fire.

Does this answer the questions? Jesus' temptation was part of what He had to go through before He died on the cross, and conquered death and rose again on the third day. His temptation became an example to us...because we have Jesus in our lives, once we have received Him...and He demonstrated that He is more powerful than Satan...so we can be too....through Him!

I am also a Bible student but your details are a bit confusing, but I will try my best to explain.
The Bible speaks that the Lord God can never be tempted. He has sovereignty, holiness, mercy and love. This means, the Lord God is the highest, no one can defeat His power; the Lord God is holy, absolutely pure both in nature and conduct; the Lord God is merciful, punishes disobedience and rewards goodness (eternal life); the Lord God is very loving and forgiving.
Because of these traits, it would be impossible for the Lord to be tempted by Satan or anyone. The Lord is omniscient, He knows everything, He can avoid things before they even happen.

I think what you mean is, was the "God" in Jesus being tempted by Satan and the answer is "no". Remember Jesus was also part human and that is the part that Satan was focusing all of his deception on.
