Because I think most people believe it's just another phase in the earth.. It comes and goes.. it has in the past it will in the future.. That and because it's become more of a political argument then a scientific one..

Whats the alternative? Global cooling?
How did that work out for the dinosaurs.

Climate change is a fact of nature. The earth is constantly warming up and cooling down. We just happen to be in a warming period.
These periods can last anywhere between 50 to 1000 years.

We have only had accurate global records for less than 50 years which indicate a slight rise in average temps.

This is a very complex subject which will take many more years to completely understand. The problem now is it is becoming an industry. There are bucks in it.

I will bow down and surrender when and only when the price of waterfront real estate in Sydney drops by 10%.

Any geoligist will tell you this cooling warming cycle has been around since the dawn of time.

You are missing the point. Most people realize that it is real. What you left wingers don't get is that it is a natural reoccurring phenomenon. It is not caused by man. I guess you measure your carbon footprint too don't you? I will bet you still drive, mow your yard with a gas powered mower, etc....If you really believe man is the cause then do your part. Walk or ride a bike when you go some where. Buy one of the old style lawn mowers that works from you pushing it to make the blades spin. Come to think of it you better walk. The manufacturing process to build the bike leaves a carbon footprint. One last thing. What arrogance of Hawkeye! What ever gave him the idea that it was his responsibility to shape young minds? He is the epitome of liberal thinking. They are smarter than most of us and so we should just let them make all of the decisions for us. You are one arrogant pri*k!

WThe Psych people proved a long time ago that the thing people are most likely to believe is what they want to be true. In a surprising number of people, this overrides any other factor, like reading, or the evidence of your own eyes. This is a good demonstration of the principle. The dominant political opinion in the USA prior to both World Wars is also.

Right on!!!!

THink about it . A large majority of YA people are just kids, the other part are couch potatos that are just bored. THeese are two very bad people to answer questions. Kids don't know anything, couch potatoes don't leave their houses and only know what they learn on tv.

I however participate in YA for ethical reasons. Its a good way to spread good ethical views and shape young peoples lives. Aslo every once in awhile there are some legitamite needs that people seek.

I hope this helps, just tune out the ignorancebut be aware how many stupid people are out there.

The global warming debate is nothing more than a political issue backed by an anti capitalist agenda. Global warming hysteria has become a religion.

To me global warming means "Global destabilization" since the weather around many parts of the world is not only getting warmer, it is just becoming more erratic with fiercer storms, colder and hotter weather, more floods, etc, so as to why they call it global warming I am not quite sure, but I really think that it should be called global destabilization.

At any rate, I have lots of info that I think you will find quite helpful and enlightening:

I also have lots of info in my blog to help fuel peoples imaginations to many possibilities that can be found only in the minds eye.

Along with lots of environmental info, amazing environmental pictures and videos (These videos show the beauty of this world and what life can be like if people take the time to appreciate life’s true beauty).

Let us all strive for a greener/brighter future by helping to create a solid foundation for future generations to build upon, so we can hand them a beautiful world, filled with never ending awe and wonders!!

Where peoples differences and uniqueness are accepted, where we all live as one, helping one another so that we can all play our own mysteriously beautiful melodies in the never ending, awe inspiring, song of life :-)

I truly have faith in humanity and believe that someday our lives and the world in which we live will truly be transformed for the better.

More experts disagree about global warming, than believe in it. Where I live, we have had 3 of the coldest winters in a row.
I think it has been "invented" as it will make millions for someone or some corporation. Al Gore is doing very well out of this "THEORY". That's all it is.............a theory.
Meteorologists and scientists, worldwide have differing views on it and no global warming is winning.

We have always had weird weather cycles, right through
history. The stories from history discuss weather, also.

The Earth naturally heats up on its own.

http://www.lakepowell.net/sciencecenter/...

The geological record shows that the Earth is normally hotter than it is now. For about 80 million years, during the Cretaceous and Tertiary periods the Earth's average global temperature was around 22ºC, compared to 14ºC now. For about 55 million years during the Triassic and Jurassic periods the Earth's average global temperature was again around 22ºC. For a brief million or so years during the Permian period the Earth's average global temperature was above 23ºC. For about 25 million years during the Devonian and Silurian periods, the Earth's average global temperature was again around 22ºC. For about 50 million years during the Cambrian and Ordovician periods the Earth's average global temperature was around 22ºC. There were four major Ice Ages during that time span, we are climbing out of one now.

You are right, the global warming is real, cool down, I agree with you, without being angry at those who think otherwise!

if you "believe" in global warming then it is a religion.

if you feel global warming is a fact and force of nature happening for the last 15,000 years and you have scientifict fact and data, then you are a realist

for humans to believe that "they" caused a phenomonon that preceeded the industrial revolution by 14,700 years is pure ego/ religion and not fact
