Wow.........some real words of wisdom and kindness. You guys are truly inspiring. I think I do need to take another break. It gets so heavy and dark in here after awhile. I got very blessed hearing such words of encouragement from such wise people. Thank you

Life is 10% what you make it, and 90% how you take it. R & S has no power over you. You on the other hand.....

Why should one tolerate the intolerable? If intolerance isn't merely the defense of indefensible beliefs acquired without critical thought, it is surely the sign of increasingly considered thought as one grows wiser. Being a cranky old man takes a lifetime study. I know, I've graduated. But being mean takes a post-graduate degree in cunning - to avoid the intolerable, or gently pull at the magic carpet on which they depend. What fun!

You can see it all here, the vile, disrespectful, the vane, the sacrilegious, the mockers, the blasphemers, the cruel, the profane, the curious, the haters,..........and it can become tiring and seem unrelenting. Sometimes I just have to step away.

It always comes back to me, these are the very people that Jesus sought, " I have not come to call the righteous, but the sinner to repentance". (even though the righteous need encouagement here)

Take a break, refresh your spirit, occassionaly, we really find a seeker!

Don't give up on us! It seems to have been a long, hot summer for many of us. People that were jyful and kind were suspended, and the trolls and Yahoo Robot Police failed miserably at filtering out the truly obscene and racist creeps. Maybe when the kiddies settle down at school, we can chat! Call me!

...it's sometimes easy to get caught up in the wave of sarcasm and negativity that often abounds here...I came here for the first time over a year ago and was so overwhelmed that I ran away with my tail tucked (sort to speak)...after much time and prayer, I eased back in and try to take the Holy Spirit with me...I still shake my head at some of the rantings I witness here, but I have more of God's Armor on now and am better able to survive it all...try on God's Armor...it does help

The reverse is happening to me. I was already very jaded (a lone atheist in the real life isn't fun), but meeting some of the Christians here has made me less jaded.

It is easy to become jaded on this forum. I just try to keep a sense of humor and realize that at the end of the day, the time spent here is worth what I paid for it.

Focus on the good, ignore the bad. Keep asking good questions and giving decent answers, have fun. It it's not fun, then why stick around? I have met some interesting people on here, and some very kind and intelligent people, they're worth it:)

If people bother you on the internet, reducing your tolerances of those who exist in the real world on here, just think how you'd be if you had to deal with them one on one in person. Get used to it. It may just be the internet but it's the REAL world with REAL people......

No, when people have disagreements it's normal to get frustrated at times.

Just let it all out. Nothing is stopping you except maybe the report abuse button if you go a little too far.
