Do you see that .com at the end of the website selling this book? That means the book is a for profit endeavor and not a scientific study. Cancer is rife in China. Liver, throat and lung cancers are at epidemic levels in China.

Simple fact is that whoever does not smoke tobacco, drink alcohol to excess, eats lots of fruits and vegetables and does not eat lots of high fat fried food will be healthier than any group of people that eats a typical crappy American diet. There is no mystery about this.

The China study strongly suggests that very high intakes of protein (especially from meats) can promote cancer. Normal intakes of properly prepared protein are necessary for health and do not promote cancer.

Note: overcooking meat (especially at high temperatures) produces high levels of heterocyclic amines which appear to be carcinogenic.
