I'm a devout Catholic who attends church every week. I also attend special masses as well. I pray to God every day and I stay connected to my religion. How many of you are Catholic? Every time I post a question on this site I always get people answering my questions who aren't Catholic. Most of the time those people just want to put me down! It's not fare! Does anyone agree with me?

I am a Catholic too!

I agree that we should not put each other down. But I think we can challenge each other to grow a little.

With love in Christ.

Dear, there are many Catholics on this site. (I'm one.) But there are also many people who are not ... and of those, some have issues with the Catholic Church. Since this is a very open forum and everyone can have their say, you're going to see a lot of bashing, misinformation, outrageous lies, and very sincere but misguided concern over what some consider the poor doomed souls of Catholics.

I agree with you that it's unfair, but fairness isn't one of the rules in this forum. Look at it this way: Everyone's post is just an opinion. You don't have to agree with them ... but whether you do or don't, people still have the right to express them (unless, of course, they violate the community guidelines) and aren't required to be nice about it.

Just stay connected to your faith, as you are doing, and perhaps even learn a bit more about the Scriptural basis of many Catholic doctrines that some folks have a problem with. The more you know, the better able you are to defend your Church.

One excellent way to do that is through Catholic Home Study Service -- the courses are free, and you get to keep the very informative book from each one. "We Believe: A Survey of the Catholic Faith" would be a great one to start with, but you might prefer one of the others. See the link below.

What do you mean it's not fare. Nothing in this world is fair.
The only one likely to know the number of Romans C's attending church - not in the general population - are those who count the number attending. And that could only be the church itself. Asking on this forum will give you no idea.
Don't count me in - I am not a Roman Catholic.

Worldwide...about 1.1 Billion. Devout practicing? Not enough.
Personally, I'm a big fan of the Rosary.

There is still much anti-Catholic sentiment and some outright Catholic haters. Ignore them. They know not what they do.

I'm Catholic. Send my kids to Catholic private school which is a true blessing compared to public school. Yeah it aggravates me too when they feel the need to bash us. I feel everyone has the right to have their own religion. Considering most of my family (like 98%) isn't Catholic, I don't judge. Thats their choice and Catholism is mine. But I feel its like God testing me when people say nasty things to me about my religion. Cause I'm not about to lose my faith cause a bunch of hecklers decided it would be funny to put me down about my beliefs.

Basically, if the one situation you train your faith is in church, this is a vain faith. It will have to be a aspect of your lifestyles, always. I enjoy discussing Catholic Doctrine, particularly non-catholics. In fact, some of our non-Catholic christian brethren are quite entertaining. I wouldn't take any of their comments personally.

May the love of God, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you always.

I actually answer the Catholic Qs because I find the absolute ignorance of Xianity to be quite funny for the extremists. And any chance to correct them is worth it.
