Stick with XP. Vista is full of bugs, and takes up too much of your hard drive.

XP Hads down. Vista still has its bugs an most aftermarket software products are not up to date w/ the vista OS. XP is tried and true, not perfect, but much better than vista...

Win xp is better than Win Vista just now cause it still hard to get drivers for some devices.

Inasmuch as Microsoft is going to offer non-technical support for XP for another 5 years, I would stick with XP. There's not a darn thing wrong with it. Just be sure your hardware will be upgradeable to Vista when you are ready to take the plunge.
I just reset my Vista to Classic View and no longer find it so intimidating.
