No.

Atheism is the lack of belief in any gods. It really doesn't say much about the person's beliefs except that the person lacks a certain category of belief.

Secular Humanism is a set of beliefs. It is the idea that morality should be based on what is good for humanity. "Secular" means non-religious. Therefore, Secular Humanism is the belief that you can have a non-religious basis for morality.

Most Secular Humanists tend to be atheists, for obvious reasons. However, not all Secular Humanists are atheists, nor are all atheists Secular Humanists.

You can have a person who is religious but who still believes that you should have a non-religious basis for morality based on what is good for humanity. That person would also be a Secular Humanist. Deists, for example, believe there is a god, but believe the god doesn't interact with the affairs of men. Such a person could still base their morality on non-religious ideals.

Religions like to pretend that they are the sole source for morality, but that just is not the case. A person's religion isn't even a good predictor of how moral that person is.

Humanism is a philosophy of life, which celebrates, or pays tribute to great hopes for humankind, which go far beyond any of the religions, except perhaps Tibetan Buddhism. When I am asked, and I choose to answer if I am religious, I say that I am an atheist and a humanist. In vital ways to two are very separate. I am also a pacifist and a vegetarian, a heterosexual southern born New Yorker and Californian, an actor, director, and producer in film, television, and the stage, but enough, enough. Sorry, my keyboard wouldn't stop.

Atheism is not an organization, though there are atheist organizations, but atheism itself cannot have branches.

Humanism is a specific philosophy, primarily one that emphasizes human worth over religious claims. There are Humanists who continue their affiliation with religion(s), thus Secular Humanism was invented to describe those who abandoned religious beliefs. Most would describe themselves as atheists, but some have a deistic type of belief and thus are not atheists.

No, not excatly .... it is a secular view. A Secular Humanist can be an Atheist or a Theist, but there is a greater chance for atheist to be more secular in view then a theist.

Actually, atheism simply defines what one does NOT believe in. There are many philosophies which may be compatible with atheism - secular humanism is one of them. Others would be Objectivism (Ayn Rand's philosophy which promotes laissez-faire capitalism), LaVeyan Satanism (Anton Szandor LaVey's Church of Satan), existentialism, and some varieties of Marxism.

In a sense. Humanistic philosophies and philanthropy grew out of a rejection of religious idealism...

particular it fairly is genuine. women are not human beings. they're made out of ribs for crying out loud. they could desire to comprehend that they could desire to be silent in church, cover their hair, and be respectful to adult males. we could desire to constantly have many better halves, to satiate our ridiculous sexual desires. They should not be annoying a common shake, whilst they needless to say are no further than assets.
