Considering most riddles posted on here are simple, I thought I'd give you all a really hard one.
A man drives to work. He gets out of his car, goes into work and up a flight of steps, opens a door, reads a headline, turns on a machine, pulls out a gun, and kills himself.
Why did he kill himself? Please be detailed with your answers.

He works at a lighthouse. He read in the paper that he caused an accident the night before by not having the light on. He was overcome by guilt so he killed himself.

The headline said his company was out of buisness and without the company he was nothing so he decided "Aww, whatever" and died. Is that what happened? Because after 4 minutes of thinking that's the best I've got.
Edit: Does it have something to do with a lighthouse?

i think he's a pilot, cause airports are often near the sea,at first he went up a flight of stairs to get on the plane, so he opens the door in the plane, and found out that his family died, and it was in the headline, so he turns on he's cellphone and says his last words, then committed suicide. at least i tried

simple coz in the headline it was written that a man shot himself in head to death .
so this man also wanted his name in headline so he also shot himself to death .
