Das Buch, das ich habe... the sentence isn't complete.

here are some examples

Das Buch das ich habe, ist blau.
The book that i have is blue.
Das buch, das ich habe, ist verlesen.
the book that I have is worn out.

What you have is a relative clause.

But (and this came up recently on this forum) with indefinites, like "everything that I have" or "nothing that I have", you use "was" instead of "der/die/das". For example, "alles, was ich habe" or "nichts, was ich habe."

The forms of der/die/das that are used here (the relative pronoun) are also slightly different from when it's used as an article ("the" or "this"). Consult your local German textbook for further gory details.

What Evan said. Only das is spelled exactly the same way both times. Das Buch, das ich habe . . .

It depends on the gender of the noun that you are referring to... you can look up this topic in your grammar book under "relative clauses" or "relative pronouns".
