I have noticed that the Christian Right has taken on the stance of being a political force, thereby serving (or dis-serving) the State, while espousing their Christian beliefs, which , forgive me if I am wrong, state, " Be no part of this world", " Give Caesars things to Caesar, but God's things to God"
How do Christians rectify their stance? Are they Political, or are they what they say they are?

Any kind of "Christianity" which is intensely politically-inclined is pseudo-Christianity and is best left ignored and neglected so that it will die.
Having said that, however, Christians *should* have the right to uphold and defend their beliefs as much as non-Christians do, but as hard as it is to believe, they don't. You may be surprised to know there's a lot of bigotry directed TOWARDS the World's most popular religion -- perhaps even more than there is coming FROM it. Check this out:

And check out some of the other pages and articles there too.
Also bear in mind that it's impossible to literally have NOTHING to do with the World. We have to live in it simply because we exist. And it's normal for someone to want to live in a society that they think will be good for them and others, regardless of whether or not they're actually correct. I'm not defending the Christian Right though, I think they're rubbish.

You cannot slave for two masters, that's what the Bible says. So, no, you can't serve two Gods.

But you must remember just because someone claims to be a Christian, this does not make them one. The Apostle Paul foretold that certain men would slip into the congregation and lead those away to follow after themselves. This happened shortly after all the apostles died and has been ongoing. The Christianity of the Bible has undergone a transformation based on man's selfish desires, not based on God's will.

That's why so many are confused when faced with actual scripture and what people are actually doing in their lives. It's a disservice to God really because nonbelievers such as yourself think the Bible is contradictory when really it is the follower who is practicing things contradictory to scripture.

No, you will ether love one and hate the other.....
This applies to it as this could be anything other then God.

Matthew 6:24
" No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other You cannot serve God and wealth.

As for being political, as Christians we need to pray for our Leaders, and be active in the political areas. As that is the very reason we are in the situations we are in with reguards to Public Schools and the like.

1 Timothy 2:1-4
First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men,
for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.
This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

We can be political, because politics has an effect and we can be a part of that effect to our advantage the same as everyone else does, we just have different beliefs. But we are political for God, I suppose you could say. I believe in one God but support the political part.

Although it says "be no part of this world" it also says that we must not close ourselves off from the world. Paul, for example, spoke publicly, and in front of many political leaders in his day. Although he did not have "the vote", he certainly attempted to sway those with political power to take his view.

I don't always agree with the so-called "Christian Right", but it seems to me that they are not doing anything that Paul didn't do, as far as influencing political life is concerned.

The bible tells us to do all things as unto the Lord. That means that as I represent clients as a Realtor, I'm to take GREAT care of them and do the best for them that I can. If a politician is a Christian, he too is to do the absolute best he can for his country - and that could NOT be done if he were to "drop his Christianity at the door".

Do you really want politicians to govern you and NOT espouse what they believe in their hearts to be what is the best for you? What kind of evil people do you want running this country?

From the newly published book 666 The Mark of America, Seat of the Beast, we are told that our flesh is the "king who rules over" us. Human nature creates destruction and hell for us all.

Quoting I John 2:15-16 with the plain and precious parts put back in reads:
"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the father, but is of the world."

By their works ye shall know them...

I stay out of politics entirely. There seems little chance of getting others to agree with the stance I have taken though.
I do agree...the church is being USED by politicians. I wish they would wake up and see this.

There are many(should I say 'nearly all'?)that are serving mammon instead of God. To answer your question, it is not possible to serve 2 gods. Those that think they are serving god are doing evil, thinking that they are doing good, and thus have riches and wealth. But there are those of us who serve Him, have sold or given away our 'riches' for a greater cause, and we know where heaven is. But there are not a lot of us around these days.
