Removalists, help pls!!?

i need a reasonable priced removalist company in Australia to get me from Qld to WA with house contents and car. pls no pranks

I got quotes from Hannan's and Grace Brothers I took Grace Brothers because they were cheaper but best of all they were so professional and their service is fantastic. I am moving from Perth to Canberra.

Wow - a car and all that's going to cost a fortune!

One options is to find a place where a lot of people are moving to Qld and from WA and get a two step back rate. This could only work with a major company but imagine getting a backload to Victoria, say, and then to Perth, it may be cheaper.

Just a thought I've never investigated this but I have a fair idea how the ttrucking industry works (they'd rather have a 1/4 price load than no load!)

Im not sure about prices because I move with defense but with my experience I have found Australian Van Lines to be the worse removalists, so much of our stuff went missing and we weren't able to claim it back because they just ticked it off the check list as though it was delivered and a few things werent
even on the checklist, but I have found Dawson's Moving and Storage to be the best they were so helpful and careful with everything, but it would probably varie between each town and city

I'm not sure if they move to WA
Good luck with the move and don't sign the papers until you know that every box and piece of furniture has arrived and in the same condition as when it was packed

I used Allied Pickfords. They weren't the cheapest, but they were fully insured, professional, ethical, everything went smoothly & EVERYTHING (down to delicate crystal) survived the journey & 3 weeks storage.

QLD to WA is a hell of a trip. Backload rates will be rare.
Get at LEAST 4 quotes, then do some research.`
Check out consumer complaints.

Get the West Australian newspaper (Wed, Fri Sat editions are best for what you need) & check ads for WA based movers as well as QLD & national.

You are best to submit an enquiry on the removalist’s websites via their contact or quote form.

Fill in the details, date you are moving - how much you have to move and they will email you with prices etc

Easiest and quickest ways to get a response and you have everything on 'paper' so to speak.

Try rail as well we are also transporting our car over to perth by rail and the coast was pretty ok,although we are going to be passengers on the train with it.(but I'm sre they still just do cars)
