This is my first full day on Yahoo Answers. I found this site googling information on the horrible panic attacks I am having.
I have asked and answered many questions since I joined.
I love this place so far.
I am just wondering, what type of human being has nothing better to do with there life than to thumb through subjects and answer very serious and life changing problems that are posted to just post very very ugly and hateful comments.
I guess we should be happy these horrible heartless people are at home posting ugly things to us and not out there killing people on the street.
I consider myself very much experienced in Life, but, I have to say I am very suprised that there are so many hateful people out there... I have seen these horrible people post mean and hateful things to people that are in very much need of positive comments and lagitamate help..
Its like they are serial killers , killing by the internet. Sick sick people that like to see others pain.

Yes....I Know What You Mean....This Happens On Many Online Games And Youtube Ect....We Call These People The No-Lives....Or They Get Picked On At School And This Is The Only Way They Can Express Thereselves...When They Post Comments Like That....I Put An Image In My Head Of A Person Who Sits In Front Of Their Computer 24 Hours A Day Living With Their Mom At The Age Of 40 And Just Laugh To Myself....People Like That Are Despicable And We All Hate Them....They Should Be Banned From Sites Like This...But Then There Are People Who Are Dedicated On This Site To Help Others And Are Really Friendly People...So If You Weigh It Out The Nice Friendly People Always Win....Its Like A 1/5 Chance One Of The Mean Jerks Will Come To Your Question...

I just found this site also. I think it is ridiculous about some of the questions people ask such as - "Can I get welfare if I live with my boyfriend who is unemployed and I draw $250 a month disability?" Good grief, why would someone think we would want to pay for them to have a baby and them live with an unemployed bum and let the working people support them. There are some good questions on here but there are also a lot of idiots. That's your answer. Why can't it be a site that we could use and not have to see messages like that. I work for a living and I sure don't want to support more people who just want welfare. I would never put something like that on here but I certainly will voice my opinion when it comes to someone wanting to get knocked up by a looser who is a bum. We have to support too many of them already. There was nothing positive about anything she said other than the fact that she wanted to get welfare. I refuse to say anything positive about someone wanting to have a baby to get welfare. I am a normal person who will post normal questions, nothing that would ever make anyone annoyed enough to respond inappropriately. I don't think I am a horrible person because of my response. I am just a regular person with my own opinion.

I too was somewhat surprised when I first got on Yahoo answers, and I posted a similar question in a different section, and I got totally flamed for it! I agree with some of the other answerers here : I think many of the people who post the negative stuff just get some kind of charge out of it, and they are probably very insecure, and get picked on in school, or have been abused, or some similar situation. Others may just be young kids joking around. I have found that if you just ignore the meanies and whackos, there are far more people who genuinely care than who don't.

The cynical short answer is that they chose to be this way. They have created and accepted a morality and system of values which involve not eating meat.They see an animal or rather some animals as sentient beings. Beings that can feel pain, and by this rational they feel that eating the animals is equivlent to murdering a human. They have made the choice in their mind to give value to not only their own life but to everyone's life in a way. Why its ironic that people like the Animal Liberation Front bomb other humans to stop animal testing, I would say that most vegans are not violent; however they are bitter because they are a minority and they feel that their voices are not heard by the mainstream. They feel like they are right in what they believe and this strikes a zeal in their "hearts" to decry what they see as injustice...I would add that in no way am I a vegan.

Have you noticed???....this is the "MENTAL Health " section. You take what you get. Try to ignore them. You can always "report abuse" and they might get suspended and straighten up. I came across one today that was really bad. I made my comments...but it didn't turn up in my site when I looked for it. I think somebody turned them in, I guess. I've asked serious questions and there's always somebody answering with a stupid or cruel answer. I think they're just bored...and just do it for the 2 points. Don't judge this site by them. There are a lot of good people on this site who want to help others. When they do these cruel things...just keep in mind what their life might have been like and be grateful that you had a better upbringing. Sometimes I think they do this just to get a rise out of us. Try to ignore them. Stay with us !!!There's a lot of good help on here. P.S. Ask your dr. about prescribing you half or one fourth mg. of risperdal. It's the first thing I've found that helps me. More than that will make you "inactive"...(you can't function)..but this much just takes the edge off the panic attacks...makes you more in control of them. Good Luck.

Yes, there are people like that and for that small hand full, the majority are people who have a genuine interest in helping others , ( And you will find sometimes that some of those questions are not written to get answers but to get some one that agrees with the other persons way of thinking ) A bit frustrating to a person who take things generally at face value, but you learn not to let it bother you after awhile.

Well, what makes you think they aren't?
What's to say that an abuser doesn't get on the computer for a while to cheat or hurt other people because he feels so bad or dark inside or severe anger and wants other people to feel just as bad or worse, just before or after he abuses his wife, the person he claims to love? My dad talks about them enjoying hurting other people. They like to provoke others and when people become upset, they get a rise out of it. Why, I don't know, because it makes no sense to me. As far as why people are so hateful and mean, not just on the computer but to others they are supposed to love till death do they part, I'd like to know tje answers to that too.

its very few and if something is out rageous feel free to report it. by clicking on flag Most of abuse is from a handful of "Trolls" who post the nastiest crap ther pee brains can think of. Its less then 1/10 of people on here. These are scared little cowards who are miserable and this gets them off i guess. Take heart in the vast majority who are not like them and hate them. Its also even less then it seems cause the same bums use multiple accounts to spread their poison

It IS the Internet, after all. Everyone becomes anonymous, so no one knows who exactly is the person who is insulting others. It's their protective shield, if you will.
