I'd like to make some tomato soup, but all I have is tomato juice. Can I just boil that or it won't be the same? Drinking it cold doesn't taste as good for me :)

Here's a recipe for Easy Tomato Soup that my parents got 20 or so years ago from the Holiday Inn at Wytheville, TN. It should give you some ideas on how to spice your juice up.

16-22 oz. can chopped whole seedless tomatoes
32 oz. can V-8 Cocktail Juice
1 Tbs. sugar
1 bay leaf (remove it before serving)
thyme, garlic and basil to taste
Just simmer all the ingredients together until the chopped tomatoes fall apart.

You need to add starch to it. Starch has to go into a cold liquid to work.
Take a cup of the cold or room temperature tomato juice and add 1 tablespoon to it and stir.
In a separate cup put another cup on juice to save.
Heat the tomato juice and 1 cup with the starch in it. Starch will only start to work when the liquid becomes hot.
If the soup is thick enough add the remaining cup of juice. If it isn't thick enough do the starch trick with the extra cup of juice.

Salsa Spaghetti Sauce Chili Sloppy Joe's Tomato Bisque You could use that for a taco dish. I used a can of tomatoes(drained of course) the other day when I made Chicken Enchiladas. Not bad for that if you don't have any fresh on hand.

That should do the trick! I've used bloody mary mix before and it was actually really good with the extra spices!
