A few years back whilst walking to my mates flat on the way back from a night out. This "lady of the night" propositioned us anyway we decided it would be funny to try and haggle with her. We eventually after about an hour or so haggled her down to £5 for both of us... Then we said no we are only joking and strolled of laughing.
I was feeling a bit guilty about that just wondered what you people think.

Id say yeah that is pretyt mean but im guessing you were drunk. The women who take those jobs do so as a last resort because they need to support themsevles and sometimes a family as well. Most of them are ashamed of their line of work but don't really have a choice. Let them retain the small amount of dignity they have left and show them some respect. A lot of the time they are completely normal women just like your mother or your sister and they deserve the same respect no matter their profession. Hey as long as you know it was wrong and don't do it again then oh well.

Of course it was mean. It was horrible. You think prostitutes LIKE doing what they do? They do it because they are so unbelievable desperate for money they have no other choice. Just think for a second how low and depressed she must have felt, to be haggled down to £5 for sex, just to be treated like some joke?
Unbelievable. Pray you're never so low.

If this is for real then i would say your mother raised a nice young man because if this is still bothering you after all this time then your a good person. Was it really a joke or did you two chicken out after she said yes.Ether way you didn't go through with it thank god for that so time to let it go it's really no big deal,you better believe that she isn't losing any sleep over it.

Not mean at all. They are used to that, I do not care what anyone else says. Been there, done that. Only difference, I had one in Dallas Texas run up beside my car just as the light turned green. She followed me through the intersection asking if I wanted a date, all that ho shtuff. I pulled over and asked her if she could bark like a dog for me and she said I'll do what ever you want me to baby. She barked and I told her that I knew now that she can bark like one cuz she sure chased my car like one. She got Peed and grabbed up some gravel and threatened to hit my car with it, nuff said I will not repeat what I told her about the gravel.

some people think that this is there only way out by working the streets. you had know right to do that how would you feel if you went for a job and the boss said congrats you got it naw just kidding

I dunno. I think prostitutes don't live happy lives and that they are treated like garbage by their clients and the rest of "respectable" society. It was a bit harsh to do this to her.
You wouldn't profess to show interest in a "nice" girl who you knew was interested in you and then laugh and say you were joking, so what makes it OK for you to do this since she was "just a prostitute"? It's NOT ok, imho.
I think it's a good sign that you feel guilty. It's a sign of decency. Don't do that again!

thats awful that you're still dwelling on it after a few years. i bet had you went through with it , it wouldn't even cross your mind. cause you boys always think about the ones that got away.
