Here's a link to a paycheck calculator: http://www.paycheckcity.com/netpaycalc/netpaycalculator.asp

If I put your $62,000 a year in and you are single and have 0 allowances, then this is how it would break down tax-wise if you were paid every 2 weeks:

Bi-weekly Gross Pay
$2,384.62
Federal Withholding
$437.58
Social Security
$147.85
Medicare
$34.58
California
$127.70
CA SDI
$14.31

Net Pay
$1,622.60

You can input additional info if you want or change your filing status, ect. and see what the results are as well by clicking on the link above! This was just an estimate with the info that you provided. If you put 1 or 2 exemptions on your W4 instead of 0, then you will not have as much withheld from your check federally either.

If you make $62,000 a year.... then you make $62,000 a year. That's your income... and seeing as that is the total amount of money you will be earning, that is your net income.

Nowhere near enough information to say. Your tax liability depends upon many factors of which your salary is only one. Your age, marital status, number of dependents, deductions, etc. all come into play
