I think it's a natural reaction for a sensitive person to experience tears when reading about total love and selflessness.

It's a good sign.

Luke's Gospel emphasizes the humanity and compassion of Christ. Perhaps the reason you get teary is because you see the love of Christ, and you wish there were more love like that in the world. I know when I first started reading the Gospels, I was so struck by the contrast between Christ's love and our ability to love, that I got teary-eyed on occasion too. Also, knowing the hatred and torture that this loving man would be subjected to at the end of his Earthly life could cause those tears...as well as thankfulness for the gift of redemption.

You're getting emotional about it. I suppose it could be either good or bad. But try to control yourself, so as to keep from impairing your judgment. You need judgment, as well as faith, to read the Bible. And to pray, you need even more discriminating wisdom. Remember the old line, "Be careful what you pray for, as you might get it."

really. Explain more. I want to know really. I haven't felt like you so I am curious. Which part of Bible made you cry. Don't tell me when Jesus was crucified. What else?

Interestingly your statement is almost identical to a statement made by the great missionary to China, Hudson Taylor.

The holy spirit is speaking to you and you are very sensitive. I think it is a good thing and you should realize you are fortunate to have such a sensitive spirit. God loves a gentle spirit. God bless you.
