You gotta look at what happens before you cut yourself. Are you mad? Sad? Scared? Frustrated? You have to learn what your triggers are if you are gonna have any success in stopping. DO NOT BE ASHAMED TO SEE A DOCTOR!!! It's really ok! There are thousands of people who have cut themselves and don't anymore because of seeing a therapist or a counselor (I know someone myself.) You don't have to go around telling the whole world, just people you trust. Good luck hon, and I hope you are better soon.

To start with....this isn't NORMAL. I know that none of us are "normal"...I don't even know what that means. But as you said..you don't want to cut yourself. Did you start this because you heard of other people doing it? If you'd never heard of anyone doing it...would you have ever thought of doing it? Somewhere I think you heard it makes things better. Obviously , it doesn't. A long time ago.....doctors did it. It was called "blood letting"They thought they could get the diseases out by cutting people and getting some of their "bad" blood out. They finally wised up. What would you think of a dr. nowadays who cut you to heal you? I think you would change doctors. In fact, he'd probably lose his license. MAKE yourself stop doing it. It's called "self control". If you can't...please go to a dr. I know they've heard of this and have helped people. You know how some people can't quit smoking or drinking...then they get HELP from others who know how to help them. This is bigger than you just wishing to stop. I think it's gotten to be some kind of mental disease with teenagers. We used to say, "if somebody told you to jump off a bridge...would you do it?" The expected answer was "No". But teenagers these days seem to follow others no matter how crazy it is.. Please...break the pattern. Save yourself...by letting others help you. We care about you...care about yourself. PLEASE !!!!

You need to get help. There are other ways of dealing with your problems. That way could eventually get yourself killed. Go see a therapist.

Seek help. Finding pleasure - or stress release in hurting yourself is not good!

Stop doing it then, do you mean you cut yourself? If you do mean that seek mental help right away.
