Strange but true:
Most denominations that baptize infants have no objection to moderate alcohol consumption.
Most denominations that *don't* baptize infants, also object to any alcohol consumption at all.

Most born-again, Evangelical Protestants. Baptists, Pentecostals, Charismatics, etc. In general, Catholics, Orthodox, Reformed, Episcopalians, etc. have no problem with it. Of course, even the non-alcoholic denominations only jumped on the bandwagon since the temperance movement. Jack Daniels was a Baptist minister.

Most denominations (religions) are against alcohol in excess. I, personally, think it is ok to have a couple beers or a glass of wine once in awhile.

Certainly not mine. However, most of the Fundamentalist churches don't like it very much, with the Baptists being notoriously against. Most of the Pentecostal groups don't like it either. Add to this the 7th-Day Adventists.
