Well at least one or two people on this site can read English. Just as I suspected...

The opposite may be true, that godlessness leads to dirtiness, judging by some of the characters around.
On the other hand you get some pretty dirty people in Eastern religions which have gods, however idolatrous, and among primitive tribes which also have some sort of religion.
Jews lay great emphasis on personal cleanliness, which marks the traditional insult of 'Dirty Jew' as ignorance.
xtians are blue eyed, blond haired & squeaky clean, even though JC was a nice Jewish boy until he went off the rails.

Cleanliness makes up half of faith! :) Being clean physically helps you stay clean spiritually and vice versa. Plus, we need to take care of our bodies because they are a gift from God, so staying clean helps us keep our bodies healthy, too.

That was my mother's favorite verse in the Bible.
I was in high school before I learned that WAS NOT in the Bible.

My mother always said so, and mother's usually know best.
Of course, if she was right, I may be in trouble. I'm not dirty, but I sometimes find myself with a bit much clutter.

Don't think so. It is just a saying. Not even in the Scriptures.
