Horus was the sun god of Egypt. He was born on December 25 to a virgin mother, at the age of 12 he was a prodogy and a teacher, at 30 he was baptised and began his minostry, He had 12 disiples who followed him. Horus died and was resurected.
This story is almost identical to that of Jesus and many other gods. almost everything in the bible is taken from older texts and there is no proof that Jesus or anyone he knew ever existed
So why do so many people belive in the basless religion.

The problem is that those who believe that there's evidence for a historical Jesus get all their information from those who benefit from their ignorance. I prefer sources that have nothing to gain.

Did a historical Jesus exist?

Excerpt:
ALL CLAIMS OF JESUS DERIVE FROM HEARSAY ACCOUNTS

No one has the slightest physical evidence to support a historical Jesus; no artifacts, dwelling, works of carpentry, or self-written manuscripts. All claims about Jesus derive from writings of other people. There occurs no contemporary Roman record that shows Pontius Pilate executing a man named Jesus. Devastating to historians, there occurs not a single contemporary writing that mentions Jesus. All documents about Jesus got written well after the life of the alleged Jesus from either: unknown authors, people who had never met an earthly Jesus, or from fraudulent, mythical or allegorical writings. Although one can argue that many of these writings come from fraud or interpolations, I will use the information and dates to show that even if these sources did not come from interpolations, they could still not serve as reliable evidence for a historical Jesus, simply because all sources derive from hearsay accounts.

The problem with your logic is that anything that we haven't personally witnessed ceases to exist. Any historical record can be disproven with your philosophy. The Bible is a written historical record that, by your world view, has fairytale additions. Regardless, the secular part is historical in nature and has been used an an archaeological guide.

Horus, Abraham Lincoln, Joseph Smith, John Smith, Martin Luther, Augustus Caesar, Jesus Christ, etc. would all cease to exist with your school of thought.

I honestly don't know. When you go shopping for religions, why buy with an assembly book? Greek polytheism is cool because you don't have to pray or worship or beleive they created the universe. That's how I live. I beleive we're not seeing everything in the creation of the universe.

Jason,
You need to read and study a little more. Evidently you are not really up on your historical data. The story of CHRIST was true and was witnessed by many people. The story of Horus was another joke that you found as true?? Have a wonderful weekend.
Thanks,
Eds

There are written accounts by people outside of the believers of Christ that attest to His actual, physical existence. Can you provide the same for Horus or Mithra?

I have read the story of Horus and you are not correct concerning your conclusions. I can only assume you have not read Horus or you are willfully lying.

We created Horus. We didn't create Jesus.

There is proof other than the Bible. There are ancient manuscripts which mention Jesus.

Peace be with you
