So i have a friend whose has had pain in her abdomen area for more than a year. but never frequent like shes been getting them now. they'e like a sharp cramp sensation almost like gas. she's taken a sonogram & is still waiting for results. in your opinion what could this be? does it sound dangerous? also she hasnt gotten her a period && its almost beena month does this fit in with the whole problem?
i'd really likee to hear what you guys have to say.

as others have said it could be many things. but from experience, i say it was probably a cyst on the ovaries. the sudden frequency of pain now could be that the cyst has popped or is getting too big and may need to be removed. And the period if probably from stressing over what is causing the pain. anyhow, good luck.

No period b/c of stress... the pain may be acid reflux disease? There are probably a plethora of possibilities as the human body is remarkable in its ability to precipitate physiological changes which we sometimes accept and sometimes don't... But here's a stress reliever for any person with a condition: it's who you are so accept yourself as you are... And if you change who you are accept that 2... Love everything about you (even that cancer cell you may be trying to get rid of - if applicable).

There are so many possible problems in the abdomen that I think you should just wait for the test results. There is no sense borrowing trouble. It could, after all , just be gas.

Periods are often late or early, and as you're growing the side-effects can be 'unusual'.
But a year of pain seems weird, best to consult a doctor about that one!

There are several things it could be, some dangerous and some merely uncomfortable.

hey dont worry, it doesnt sound serious, i dont think so. im glad shes getting it checked. i get cramps myself, i also dont know what they are and im not really worried.
dont worry too much or u'll start worrying her ok.
