Just keep an eye on your dog. Chocolate is poisonous to dogs. Chocolate contains Theobromine.
The symptoms are:
excited and hyperactive
they will be thirsty
vomiting
increase the dogs heart rate
diarrhea
tremors
seizures
and possible death.
These are the worse chocolates
Cocoa powder
cooking Chocolate
The next worse chocolate is :
semi sweet chocolate
Dark Chocolate
The last is:
milk Chocolate
This link will have it on the list of foods that are not good for a dog.

One kiss is not going to do much to your dog - even a small dog.
If your dog had eaten some dark, expensive, pure chocolate, or baker's chocolate, you would have cause to worry.
Calm down, watch your dog for a bit to make sure he shows no symptoms (hyper, fast hear rate),
and please be a lot more careful where you leave any chocolate product. Dogs love the stuff and can sniff it out even in places you think they can't reach.
I once caught a dachshund (with those stumpy little legs) of mine climb on his crate, jump onto a side table, climb on top of the t.v. and go for the Easter basket stored up there - which had a chocolate bunny. Now I put chocolate in high cabinests - with doors.

Honestly... I don't know what the big fuss is about @_@ my dog has actually snuck up on the counter and ate a whole freaking chocolate cake! But then again she is a black lab and that was back when she was about 7 yrs old @_@""" But I would be concerned about a small dog though, I've never seen a dog get sick from chocolate, but if people say it hurts them, it hurts them.

So sorry to hear this but do not worry your puppy will not die. But I did do some research and he might get worms. Please call a vet tomorrow and ask for an emergency visit. Explain what has happened and I am sure they will let you bring the puppy in to be checked. My dog seems to try and eat everything in sight. He especially loves dolls hands and feet. I can not even buy him dog toys because he eats them in one day. I am sure you did not mean for this to happen. Dogs seems to sniff out everything no matter how much you try to watch them.
I hope everything works out. Good luck!

Your puppy may get a little sick, but milk chocolate will not have as high of an impact as pure dark chocolate or baker's chocolate. If your puppy is large, you don't have anything to worry about. If you are concerned and you don't want to take the risk, you can induce vomiting with hydrogen peroxide. The correct amount is 1 tsp. for every 10 pounds of body weight.

If your dog is at least 10 pounds heavy,he should be absolutely fine.In most cases, if a dog eats only a small amount of chocolate, they should be fine. Even if your puppy doesn't weigh at least 10 pounds, he\she should be okay. You have nothing to worry about. I know this out of experience. When my lab was a puppy he ate my entire bag of Valentine's Day candy. He's okay.

My dog ate some as well at Easter time. The vet said he wasn't as concerned if it was milk chocolate because bakers chocolate is what really hurts them. Especially if they didn't eat too many.

I don't think you need to worry, and the answers you have been given are good advice.
One bit of advice from me, the next time you
have a Hershey bar, or any chocolate, make
sure it's where the puppy can't get it.
