How can you tell if someone is truly interested in you or if they're just being nice to butter you up/running game on you?

Analyze them, play hard to get. Sooner or later you're gonna find out the real deal. Just play it hard so he will show his true colors anytime soon, if he's just a jerky horny brat, or a sincere guy you deserve to, it will be worth it.

Usually the person who is truly interested will take the good with the bad. I am not saying be abusive to see if they stick around but if your having a bad day they will forgive you. If you have hard times they will stand by you, and just remember what REM says, everybody hurts sometimes, you cant keep from getting hurt/played. Some people are really good at the game, but take your time no matter what. Time usually is the thing that reveals who is what. Take Care.-Rachel.

There isn't a sure fire way to find out if your being played untill your played. My advice check out your significant others past, if he/she has played in the past they may play again. Then again you could be their one, so its a touchy subject. Your best bet is trust your self and trust them, because if you trust eachother, then only one of you can be a liar. In the end its just love, a fickle creature, or emotion if you perfer, elsusive nonetheless, despite its nature, we all seek it, and we all feel it. Some good, some bad, that is how it goes. Thats life. We can't make someone love us, just love them and hope they love you as much as you love them. Then again I have always felt that there should be someway to test that love, and their really isn't. Trust is all you got. honesty and trust. You live you love your heart is gonna get broken, along the way. If your lucky someone will come and put it together for you, and make you whole, if you find that person consider your self lucky. Because I haven't, but that doesn't mean I will quit searching.

I think its very hard to tell when someone is feeding you BS. you just have to watch and listen and see how hes doing things and then make up your own mind of what hes saying to you. its very hard to seek out a player. but i think you can if he seems rushed or in hurry to do soemthin g that would be give away.
