me and my fiance are having difficult financial problems right now. and we have debt about $16,000. and some other debts are in other people's name, they know about it but now my dad is saying that he wants nothing to do with us and wants to kick us out of the house but before we can leave the house he wants us both to pay off all of the bills.so now i'm stuck in a sticky situation where i don't have that kind of money to pay all at once. and he doesn't either cause we both wanted to get married but we can never save up due to our bills. we are both working as much hours as we can and we already have tried to ask for a loan but nobody would approve us. we even went on sites where personal people give you loans but nobody wanted to. and my fiance dad said that he'll help but only if we move other there to where they live.. they live about 3 1/2 hours away from us. but if i do move with them, i would probably be there slave waiting on them hands and feet. WHAT AM I TO DO????????????

Take responsibility for the charges you ran up. What on earth could you possibly NOT be able to pay if you're still living in your parents' home? And why are loans in other people's names? Your dad is likely pissed that you have been living there so long and he still hasn't seen you try to pay down your bills. What is wrong with the youth of today that they think they have to have every material object they see and then mooch off their parents so they can pay those horrendous bills? Yeah, this is a lecture. What the heck are you doing that you ran up a debt of $16000?? And do you have a ring?? Sell it. Sell every piece of junk you bought on credit and start paying your bills.

Working and living with your parents, you should have already had this paid down alot. You're lucky your dad has given you this long before threatening to kick you out. Whine, whine, whine... You made the debt. PAY IT before you buy even ONE more electronic gizmo. ONE more phone. Anything. You owe money to too many people to spend anything on yourself. That's probably the very reason you're being kicked out. You were given a free ride so you could pay your debts quicker, and chances are you ran up even more debt while mooching off your dad EVEN THO your dad tried to help you out.
What are you to do???? GROW UP and stop taking advantage of anyone who will listen to your whining.

if you havent already, do what you can to reduce your monthly bills. lose the cell phones or reduce the plan minutes to reduce your monthly bill. if you can, reduce the amount of insurance on your vehicle(s). if they are still being paid off this wont be an option though. if you have more than one credit card and are having problems paying all of the minimum payments, talk with a debt consolidation company. they can put all of your unsecured debt (mostly credit cards) together and lower your monthly payments significantly. you have to be sure and pay the payment every month to stay on the plan. those companies can also reduce your interest rates and forego any late or over the limit charges. my husband and I are in a very similar situation and it has NOTHING to do with spending money on absolutely any unnecessary items. we havent bought anything besides what was needed to survive. show your dad that you are doing everything you can to pay down your debt and start paying him something to pay him back. if you show him that you are working on it things should get better. no one wants to live with their parents forever and you have to do what you have to do in order to get the heck out of there and on your own. good luck.

Have you tried contacting a nonprofit credit counselor. They will help you set up a budget and negotiate to lower the interest rates on the credit cards for a fee. I know this is not a quick or simple solution on it, but it could help you get out of debt easier with a plan. I will include some readings on them below to help you learn more abou tthis option.
