I am skinny and I have been told that since I was like 9. Now I'm 15 and trying out for the track team this school year (mostly because I'm good at it, but partly because I have the body for it.) But people always say I'm too skinny. I do not eat a lot. But I could be hungry all day but I could eat half a cheeseburger and I won't be full anymore. It's weird. I think my stomach is the size of a walnut or something...When I do eat, it's usually junk like McDonald's and candy, and my friends know this. But I'm still so skinny they think I'm bulimic and I'm not! I can see that my stomach sticks out a few centimeters after I eat a big meal but when I go to sleep and wake up, my stomach is back to being flat as a board! How is that? How do I lose weight overnight while I'm sleeping? I'm NOT even training for track yet...that doesn't start till December!
Long story short: WHY do I lose body fat when I'm just SLEEPING?
This has been worrying me forever.

After you eat a big meal, or an unhealthy one, you may feel a little bloated. This doesn't mean you just got fatter, it just means you probably ate more than you were comfortable with. Don't pay attention to others comments on how thin you are. We are so obsessed about weight and body image these days we feel a need to not only criticise ourselves, but others too. It seems that some people feel a need to voice their opinion. This doesn't mean they're right, just conceited. The only thing I noticed being unhealthy was your diet (McDonalds and candy). An athlete like you should fuel your body with good, but still yummy treats.

There are some of us who don't get fat no matter what we eat.
I understand that some research done in Sweden has found that such people do actually exist although why is the question (though it does show how little we actually know about obesity). What they did for their study was to have volunteers eat a certain amount of junk food and not exercise and they found that some people didn't actually put on any weight.
It was suggested that it may have been an adaptation for people in cold climates to allow them to become warmer instead of fatter.

Stop been worry about the body. The reason I say it because it happen to me as well and some time u can't fine the truth about the health. What am saying is that body are like that and it just happen. You should be thankful that Ur body is absolutely normal and it is good. If u be fat then that is very bad and unhealthy. So it is better to be fit are have normal body shape.

It's just a matter of not eating enough. If you start forcing yourself to eat regular meals - and making sure that you are getting a minimum number of calories, then you should find yourself getting hungry. If this doesn't help, you should go see your doctor. There may be a medical explanation. Good Luck!

You are proud of your slimness and want everyone to notice you and feel you are an "uber" person. When you start training for track you will pass out, get charlie horses and won't last 1 week. You appear fit but the underpinning has no good muscle strength or fat reserves for energy. You are malnourished and playing that off as "fit" Stop worrying and start eating.

You should eat a bit more really by the way. And healthier stuff, not crap.
It's all down to your fast metabolism, I'm the same, its great!
Your body burns calories at a high rate without exercise, so you use them up instead of them turning into fat.
Lucky!

Sounds like you don't eat enough nutritious food: veggies, fruit, good carbs, like beans, and lean protein, like chicken or fish. If you want to do do well at track, you'll have to have a better diet that will fuel your body.

that's something a lot of people want.
but you can't blame yourself for a fast metabolism.
your problem probably isn't because you're "skinny" it's probably because you don't have enough muscle mass.
you just need to jog with weights and work out a lot.
(: hope that helped
