Cheating is a word make up by our culture. Is the Shah cheating when he goes up to bed with one of his multiple wives? If so, which wife is he cheating on? Cheating...interesting concept. Yu can only be cheating if you feel that what you are doing something wrong. Also, if you need permission than you are in a subservient position. I am assuming you are speaking of sexual cheating. If you are cheating at cards and have permission, you are probably playing with a kid.

Permission from whom? By marrying someone, you are basically signing a contract of faithfulness to your spouse. You are recognized by the state as "married". That's what the marriage vows are for. They're not just because they sound cool.
Soo... Unless you are given permission by the state to "cheat", it's still adultery and you're still breaking the law.
That's like saying your spouse gave you permission to steal... That doesn't mean it's morally or legally okay to do so. The same goes for adultery.

Cheating at what? You mean cheating on your husband or wife? I will answer this in a Christian perspective. This is where the whole submissive thing comes to play. When the Bible says for wives to be submissive to their husband and the husbands to be submissive to their wife it usually means sexually. So basically even you get permission it is wrong.

In my opinion. It would be cheating. At least cheating myself. The union between my wife and I is sacred. It is she and I only. To do anything else would be cheating myself and the relationship. To me it would just take something away.

It may not be cheating if your spouse knows about it, but it is still adultery and a sin, no matter how you look at it.
Hebrews 13:4 -- Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.

If it is cheating in your mind then it is cheating. If you are not cheating, then it is not cheating. But cheating is cheating regardless of permission.

Mmmm you could be getting tested... it’s cheating. Think about why they have given you this permission, what are they doing or have done?
