It does not say that! We are supposed to accept Christ and be like Him, humble and love everyone. When we accept Christ we become Sons of God and we're invited into His Kingdom we become heirs with Christ.
Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with [him], that we may be also glorified together.
Titus 3:7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
James 2:5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?
Matthew 18:4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 23:12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
James 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
1 Peter 5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all [of you] be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
1 Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

There is no scripture that says people that follow the bible are better then those that don't. Perhaps they meant something else, but it does not say that anywhere in the bible.

From my studies I've seen more instances where we are reminded that we are not better than anyone else. That isn't the point. In fact, remembering that I'm not better than anyone else makes me all the more grateful for God's intervention in my life.
-Sorry about that interaction. People everywhere, (religious or not) have such a desire to "one up" each other...

Do you always believe what anybody tells you?
Don't sound like they truly accepted Christ, May be they just said they did so they can sound cool.
Words are free its what really in a man's heart that only God can see.

Actually the bible is very clear that we are all the same...sinners. Some of us are different, not better mind you, because we acknowledge our sinful nature and choose to accept Christ, whose blood is worthy to cover our sin.
