The rich people have all the power and run the world and most of us just obey and think that the world has to be like this and wars are a natural occurrence and that some diseases are very hard to cure and that terrorists are out to get us and that sports and Easterners and big brother and nationalism and Paris Hilton and all the other **** that has been designed to distract us from certain truths are somehow important and that any of it really matters when it doesn't, the only thing that really matters is the journey these people are taking us on, a journey of despair and pain and famine and disease, children getting blown up and starving to death in the name of freedom and democracy, well wake the **** up people, our governments have been corrupted by the forces of evil, our politicians are puppets, our freedom is slavery, our ******* indifference has to end before we let these bastards destroy us all.

It's not - it is divided between those who can manage the funds and those who can't.

God owns everything - it is just that some of us have the sociomilitant support or knowledge to hide or maintain resources so that only we can use them.

Crimes such as theft are a method of punishing acts against the social order, and 'rightful' within that society, ownership.

Ultimately we all share this planet -- people die money changes hands.

The people with money more often then not made deals with those with the resources, or took it by force.

We do have the same, it just depends where you are and what ethics you value.

Richness isn't gold alone, it is the capacity to better the planet and administrate it. In democratic countries often people are elected to manage the funds. Professionals who work in banks also manage funds. Forestry and Nature services manage vast lands. Companies of all sorts develope resources. While many people are tasked with creation or distributing on a smaller scale.

While 'rich' people have a lot of resources, it is often because they provided something people were willing to give for, or had no choice but to take from. In other instances it is because militant means were used to repress and control, as is more noticed in the past. Even today the law enforcement often enforces property and use.

The rich had favour for providing a service that was valued - or they were able to dominate and control by force - or a combination of the two.

What it comes down to is usually who manages - the rich tend to manage - the poor tend to follow. It is just how close you are to the control resources.

Business is business either, it is all about providing for society - giving society what they'd like - if you do that, then you can have what you'd like - that is part of the monetary system. We don't owe people unless they give us something that society would like.

That same society has militarized itself and will kill outsiders, who do not play by societies rules. Meanwhile the political class with support of the military - and the militaries support be it the public or otherwise - make the laws.

Either you have favour or you don't. You need support to suceed - to have support you have to enhance or maintain what society would like.

I think we do have the same, the question rests at what use will it go to. It is political economy.

That's a really complicated question that would take up much more space then is available here, presuming I could answer it lol. However I would suggest you look into world history in general, Guns Germs and Steele, and various literatures dealing with the post WWII time frame - as that is when the gap has increased the most. Also I can find myself getting into that thinking "the whole everyone should have the same stuff" but ultimately I don't agree, and I think you should challenge those, and any, ideas you do come across. Ultimately I don't buy that thinking because of what communism relies on, and I feel it goes against human nature; I do however believe that all people should have some minimum standards that are met.

Happy hunting for your answers though.

I'm confused as to how your question fits into "law enforcement". As to whether extremes or similarities in material wealth are the better socio-economic status for the world, read up in the Bible. Read the whole thing, not just verses or chapters or books that appeal to you most. And look over the history of human kind and how the rich and poor come about, and what has ever happened to situations where someone tried to create utopia. Then you will have the answer. God Bless you.

Whatever system you have in any country, you will always have rich and poor. That is a fact and it will always be the way. Greater brains than yours have wrestled with this problem, bu no one has found an answer yet. A lot of wealthy people have become rich because they have been hard working and have made a lot of sacrifices to get where they are. Remember, if there were no wealthy people, who will pay all the workers wages, and possibly no jobs. I think your question smacks of jealousy.

As many others answered, this is called communism. And this my friend is more a hypothetical solution to greed and abuse, and has yet to be proven to work. Truth is, humans are driven by greed and power. Unlike a previous answer that stated that most poor people are lazy and don't work hard enough, I seem to differ. Most wealthy people, were born into wealth, it is a documented fact that the richest of people have had control of exhorbitant amounts of money for decades, and they add more to their wealth by exploiting others or other countries, i.e. owners of oil companies.

It would be nice for everyone to have the same, but capitalism is about individualism and it does provide the freedom to work hard and step on others to creat your own wealth, and that is satisfying to many of us.

OMG YOU COMMUNIST!!!

Kidding. Well, not really, seeing how what you're describing is communism. Why is there a bad rap on communism? It's scare tactics used for decades, just like terrorism will be used for decades to come.

If everyone had the same, it would call for laziness and no advances in technology. Socialism would work, capitalism and communism cannot. There needs to be some sort of middle ground.

Another serious answer.

The world is filled with people who do not want to work and want instead to take the money of people who work. Communism is a dream.

If you want to give away your goods and services to someone else from a third-world nation because their government is too corrupt to control warlords or too ineffective to distribute aid from other areas of the world, by all means go ahead.

I'd even supply the stamps for your check.

I think it would be better if everyone had the same but I guess people need their place, and sometimes money does reinforce that.
There will always be people who lead and people who follow. It's just the way it is (as much as I hate it).

I'd love everyone and everything to be equal :( But I don't think it will ever happen.

xx
